At Broadway and 11th street sits Grace Church, erected 1843-1846. It was designed by James Renwick Jr., who later went on to design St. Patrick's Cathedral and the Smithsonian Institution castle.

i have been in that church many years ago, it is beautiful, and no matter what church you belong to, you just know you have to say something to GOD for being there. great find and thanks for the remembrence.

fun film trivia: the exterior of this church shows up a couple times in "igby goes down" as a representation of igby´s elite new england boarding school.
