jack: 30th Jan 2007 - 15:36 GMTyeah, thats brooklyn, in all its majesty, in its timeless grace, the old structure and new people, buildings can tell some stories, i remember this area from my times as a child on the rooftops. my uncle lived in that area and we would go there on ocasion to visit and each time we went to the roof to take pics and i have one so perhaps i will scan it and let you see what it was like. Brad: 30th Jan 2007 - 15:39 GMTWow, parts of Brooklyn look so amazing. I remember the last time I was there riding the subway around, it was so cool looking down the streets from the elevated sections at the rowhouses. I can't wait to visit NYC again over spring break, I'm staying in Queens, and I really want to ride my bike around the outer boroughs a lot more this time and check out some of the neightborhoods at ground level. firecraker: 2nd Feb 2007 - 05:59 GMTyou can tell you're living in a good neighborhood if there are a bunch of family vans parked on the street outside your house
Rich: 11th Dec 2008 - 00:53 GMTThe fourth picture is of a church (or it used to be one), it was originally the Savoy movie theater on Bedford btwn Lincoln and St. John's there's a convent on St. John's it's been there for decades. The last picture is St. Teresa's church looking at it from Sterling Pl. towards Classon Ave. Comment on this article..[previous] :: [next] |
