Too Cold to Melt

1/25/2007, 2:52am. extreme cold weather alert. the stone piles under the king street tracks look frozen and brittle. will they collapse? taxis roam the streets, shooting past like projectiles. 'welcome to jamrock' plays in my ears, the sunny sounds of zion, as i turn up joe shuster way. "unassumed road - use at your own risk", the sign warns. i pace alongside the blank railway barrier, following the urban frontier, exposed to the wind. the sound of sirens strobes from one ear to the other - is it real or part of the song? then the firetruck roars into view. there's a fire burning out of control somewhere right now. improbable.

jack: really enjoyable reading

procyon: 26th Jan 2007 - 21:57 GMT

mega surreal. i love this, writing and picture both, and i wish i could be more articulate about why. abandoned [-looking] limo! space futuristic tower! snow, weeds, sodium lights and smoke!
