General Accident & Other Buildings in Philly
Browsing articles by GGP - [previous] :: [next]I spent the weekend in Philadelphia for the first time in ages. Tons of great stuff I hope to post in the coming days. We'll start off with some buildings. Confession: I took the liberty of whiting out the background on this nice old building because it was getting on my nerves. The next three shots are from the post office, depicting the "delivery in all weather/circumstances" credo.
The electric company substation--reminds me of the marble you see in cemeteries...the kind you want to touch for luck.
No idea what the deal is with (beach). The postman rang twice for "Luck," but alas, no one was home. Some cool fascades.
Old & new. Old wooden barber pole & cellar door. Philly is full of fab archaics like this.
