what a tragedy. i might even call it the tragedy of the commons.

i don't know but do you think the vehicle matches the store. and you are correct it seems the old things are being replaced by the new, which is as it should be in life, but there were some old things that were pretty nice also, like the smell of bread baking on a cold winter morning, hot coffee, a roll, cakes, donuts, but it was the bread that got to me. on kings highway around west 6th street there were a few good bakeries, i remember the white smoke coming out of the chimney and the aroma, oh the aroma, would make me rush home, run into my mothers kitchen, and there she would be, cooking at the stove, in her apron, and she would slice some italian bread and place it in the oven to warm up and then butter it and give me a slice. i would sit there eating the bread and my mom cooking and i would watch her..

oh, to be able to find a "real" bakery.....anywhere

actually it so happens that across the street is Moishe's Kosher Bake Shop, in my estimation one of the best bakeries in new york, though I've not been to all that many. I would say, though, that if you are ever visiting New York, you have to stop at Moishe's.

This new place is atrocious. I loved the "no frills" of mr. fresh bread. The best bacon egg and cheese and coffee around and good service. I saw this new place actually had a a live jazz band the other night. who do you think you're kidding? this morning i had the most disappointing breakfast there...that will be my last time there. bring back mr. fresh bread!!!
