Costume Play, or Cosplay: A very popular activity during anime conventions. It consists of dressing up as an anime or video game character to participate in contests or simply for fun.

I went to Busan with my friend Karl to visit Shanicus. Getting to Busan was an adventure in itself. When I had decided to go to visit Shane before I head home for Christmas I checked the COTEX website and saw that they had a comic book show happening the weekend I was going to be there.

On Saturday we spent the entire day playing a pc game and drinking. On Sunday we headed to COTEX to check out the comic book show. The day was full of frustration, but all in all great fun. First of all, my camera battery ran out and I forgot the other one at Shane’s apartment. I headed back to his apartment by taxi and grabbed the new battery. When I got back to the show I noticed that I had also forgotten to bring my compact flash card to Busan with me. I was grumpy. Luckily there was a Homeplus (Big Box Store) close to the convention center so I went there and picked up a new card. Then I just started shooting. Thing about cosplay people is that when you ask to take their pic, they pose up for you. It isn’t always what I wanted, but I had limited communication ability. In a lot of the pics, there are funny things happening in the background so look carefully.

i went out once with a girl that looked like the 'girl'???in pic number 8. she was a rough girl, a gang member, from a chinese hatchet gang in chinatown, her sister, like the girl with the umbrella and white coat, and i became more of a couple secretly keeping a distance when with everyone and then sparks flew when we were alone.

man oh man these are so awesome. really great job chiamattt. i wish i recognized more of the characters. i got final fantasy and pikachu. i'd like to think that #1 is the horse guy from the legend of zelda 2.
