Inside the Old Coast Guard Station (Part 2)

This is probably my favorite set from the whole trip. Through the window we have a partial view of the Cleveland skyline. That's Key Tower in the center there, which, at 947 feet, is the tallest building between New York and Chicago. Just to its right is the BP Tower.

Here is a preview of some of the Cleveland graffiti I'll be featuring in a later post.

Below we see several of Cleveland's fabled bridges. I grew very fond of the jackknife bridge and the lift bridge next to it, the two most prominent in this picture.

these are great, thanks litle uk. you know, i lived in cleveland for 21 years and i never knew this place existed. it's the missing link of an east side boy.

the light in those last two is very theatrical. are you sure these weren't shot on a soundstage or something?

these are fantastic. what a thanksgiving gift!

A Sign of Past Times?

Found this sign wilting in the sun on Shore Parkway east between Rockaway Parkway and Pennsylvania Ave. I guess abandoned cars use to be an issue out in these parts... Are there still lots of abandoned cars rotting in the city? Whaddya...
