A walk through Wendy Park at Whiskey Island brings you to the West Pier Entrance to the Cuyahoga River. There you will find the decommissioned Coast Guard Station #239.
It is easy to get around the 'obstacles' which inhibit public access to this building. As you walk down the long pier and around the edifice, here is what you see:

Upon entering it becomes clear that an unsuccessful attempt to convert this station into a bar/restaurant was made at some point. Reminders of this failed effort surround you, as we shall see.

Smiling Dog Farm commune style. We get X number of people to give Y dollars each, we could have XY money.

fine, you ask the city how much they want for it. i'll track down some investors and we'll do it. i can pitch in at least 10-15 bucks.

CG, B&T, Procyon, and Joey could get together and form the official Cleveland Citynoise headquarters... as long as the Coast Guard building costs between 40 and 60 dollars.

Perfect base for a super hero. Or a league of super heroes. Maybe a cleveland surfer. Anyone see the NY times today? Frontpage article on these hardcore surfers at edgewater park.
