November Thunder
[previous] :: [next]Patchogue is a small coastal town on Long Island. Formerly a vacation town, the second World War destroyed its tourist economy and it hasn't really recovered. But that's not to say it's completely dilapidated. It has quite a few beaches and playgrounds to offer, and a community pool all of which are somewhat bustling in the summer. But in the autumn these institutions are desolate and particularly on rainy days, the loneliness that this town nurses comes to the surface. That was poetic. This is a "famous" roadside luncheonette that's only open during the summer months, that opened in the late 1940s.
