November Thunder

is a small coastal town on Long Island. Formerly a vacation town, the second World War destroyed its tourist economy and it hasn't really recovered. But that's not to say it's completely dilapidated. It has quite a few beaches and playgrounds to offer, and a community pool all of which are somewhat bustling in the summer. But in the autumn these institutions are desolate and particularly on rainy days, the loneliness that this town nurses comes to the surface. That was poetic.

This is a "famous" roadside luncheonette that's only open during the summer months, that opened in the late 1940s.

This is Corey beach, an incredibly small stretch of sand and bay water that gets packed in the summer. Swingset and littered beach.

Now this may be confusing...I was using the multi-shot feature on my camera (it takes 16 shots in a row) in the picnic area of Corey beach when a lightning bolt struck the bay 50 feet away from me, which is why the last few shots are not of the picnic area but of the sand/my feet/trees/general chaos as I ran as fast as I could back to my car.

The Patchogue Beach Club. This is the pool at the Patchogue beach club. There is a tiny stretch of sand, but there is no lifeguard or swimmers there during the summer.

i think you should make a spooky movie involving aquatic zombie children on that beach/playground.

or at least do a vogue fashion shoot there.

Susannah: Zombies, Models ... Tom-ay-tos, Tom-ah-tos

I think this one fits in this post. This boat is abandoned in the Patchogue River.
