You Call That Open?

The Esso gas station on Herron Road in Dorval was undergoing maintenance recently. At one point, I saw this excellent example of ridiculous signage. The sign says open, but there are no pumps!

A closer look at the sign shows a printed sheet explaining that the mechanic is still open for business.

The pumps sit beside the station, waiting to be reinstalled.

Thanks, guys. A lesson to everyone from my experience. Do not link your telephone and internet services into a single bill. If money gets tight, you lose both. Thankfully, I have net access in my help desk (read tech support) class, and I now have started loading my pictures onto a USB drive, so I am once again able to post. It's good to be back, although I miss having 24-hour access.

Nearly every city and town has travel agencies. They are a ubiquitous part of commercial infrastructure and have been since we invented travel. Leaflets and posters by the million zillion billion. Plastic model airliners in the windows. Outposts of glamour...
