peter, i've always meant to ask you if you've read "the fortress of solitude" by jonathan lethem. it's a really wonderful book, and is set in prospect heights (it takes the gentrification issue head-on).
anybody with a passion for brooklyn would get a lot out of it.

jonathan lethem worked at moe's books in berkeley for many years. so, he sold books before he wrote them.
