Grass Track Bike Racing:

I wanted to share some pics of my special grass track area I located within a mile from where I live. It is an old horse track. Not sure of the length around, maybe 1/4 mile or a little less...but all grass. no ruts, no divets, no damage to surface. it hasn't been used in years.

Front front stretch. The grand stand is mightily worn and in need of some TLC but hey, bring on the crowd.

A view from the other side. Nice big oval with slight rise in the mid field.

And my ride. The Dawes. No brakes, no frills, all thrills! The property currently belongs to a Gateway humane society. They just built a new building nearby. I have always wondered if they would be willing to part with this section.

Done with photos. Time to ride off. Here below is another area where there is no traffic, all roads are located on private property, loops and all kinds of fun. another fun area for a grass track oval!
