I have moments when I love Harlem and others when I want to return South (i.e. when I almost got shot during the African American parade). Alas, Harlem is a place to be revered... guess that is why everyone is flocking there (oh yeah, and the 'cheap' rent, lol)...

Wow, that looks really nice. How does Harlem compare to some of the other areas as far as gentrification? Seems like its location on Manhattan would have made it prime real estate. I remember grabbing lunch in Harlem on my first visit in spring of '04. I think it was on 110th, it was across the street bordering Central Park to the north. Kind of a spooky place, had only one table, when it could have probably had at least six. There was a weird guy sitting at that lone table, needless to say we enjoyed our lunch in the park :)
