lol. i wonder if any of those innane "rules" were enforced during their first day...

for those of you who dont know, the MTA just enacted rules- that went into effect yesterday- that prohibit food/beverages on the train, sitting in two seats, putting your bag on a seat, walking between cars, straddling a bike, etc...

...and put so much misplaced focus on "behavior" when theyre runninga system full of fare hikes, greed and corruption, disrepair, inefectiveness and lack of safety.

way to prioritize, mta!

Don't forget that you're not allowed to sit with your legs spread. How far is too far? Do they have a protractor to measure the angle? What if you have arthritis, bad hips or huge testicles?

Mitch and I had this very discussion yesterday while watching a homeless guy bathe on the R train. He appeared to be washing himself in milk and alcohol, which I must try sometime.

i loved that schwinn fixed-gear bike... i still have the frame/fork, though most of the components are on another proper track frame. i was considering building that schwinn back up as a singlespeed cross-bike for the spring/summer...
