This is the Toronto Brickworks located in the Don Valley. It started operating back in 1889 and closed only in 1984.

Currently a group called Evergreen is redeveloping the site so that it offers lots of eco-friendly things: a native plant nursery, a children’s discovery centre, walking trails, skating rinks, and a farmer's market.

where did you take these photos from? a few years ago i went traipsing around the abandoned brickworks (like many others have done - there was once a rave in there on halloween night!). what a cool place.
