Michigan Places That No Longer Exist 001

I'm trying to find information on a town that doesn't seem to exist anymore, and that is Lulu, Michigan. I have pictures of my mother, in about the year 1913, with notation on the picture that they were in Lulu, Michigan. Do you have any knowledge of that? Thanks.

i was wondering if i could have some more information on why this place is not here anymore. i was alive when this was still here, but i need some more information on it. i just want to know more about this old restaurant!

The restaurant used to be called Schumms. I grew up in Chelsea Michigan where this once stood on M-52. The rumor in town was that they had trouble with health inspections and it went out of business. It actually stood there vacant for a few years since and was some time before the property was sold.

I only ate there a few times and was young. I do remember it being very dark inside and the wood beams led up the ceiling just as it looks from the outside. Thank you for posting this picture, it brought back memories.

Yep, that building was vacant for some time. It did look out of place in Chelsea.

Funny, that "town" of Lulu was only a few miles from where I'm from.
