Taken from Castlefield, an area of canals and warehouses converted into bars, homes and businesses - one of the first areas of 'town' to get smartened up.

I love all these sites on Manchester. Does anybody know if there was a tobacco factory in the city in the 1890s? Andrew Smith: 29th Jan 2008 - 11:13 GMTliesbeth I'm not sure if it is on the site of a chapel, it is on the junction of Deansgate and Gt Bridgewater St though.
