I took these photos at the same time as I took my photos of the Hwang Kum Restaurant and the abandoned gas station. This area seems very diverse, with most of the businesses catering to the immigrant population. Things are somewhat run down, any yet they are decent and safe.

After hours and hours of searching the area for National Burrito, I finally found it (well, actually "Burrito Nation")here! When I found it, I was surprised to see it in an area I had already photographed a few days earlier, and when I went back to look at these photos, I was so mad at myself for not noticing it before.

I like the way the facade protrudes here, and the decorative moulding as well.

And of course, I had to experiment with this angle.

This old-fashioned "Prodenta" gilded lettering still seems somewhat majestic.

I like the way these fire escapes lead you first to a rooftop deck, then to another escape. I also have this inexplicable urge to play darts all of a sudden.

Chris Erb: So... how was the burrito??

EvilGentleman: 16th Aug 2006 - 06:23 GMT

They were closed both times I tried going there. I hope they are still in business. The hair place next door says closed for vacation, maybe they are the same owners.

Sirhcbre: 23rd Aug 2006 - 20:34 GMT

I went to the Burrito place yesterday. Apparently they were closed a few days for renovation so that's probably the reason it wasn't open when you were there. It's now called Burrito Ville, I'm not sure if that was the name all along and I thought wrong or if they changed their name. I was going to ask but I forgot.

I'm wondering whether I can use a photo from this site to post on an NDG project website- a Time Bank, where people can exchange services to members within for time instead of money. Who could I contact? Is this site still monitored??

EvilGentleman: 28th Oct 2009 - 01:43 GMT

Hello, Julia.

My name is Sean. I took the photos in this thread. If you wish to use one of them for a non-profit purpose, I have no problem with that. If there is profit involved, a little more information may be required to get my consent. I doubt I would charge a fee, unless it is a major business looking to use it. If you do decide to use any of my photos for anything, please be kind enough to post the address here, so I can see what it looks like.

Oh, I almost forgot. If I wind up being supportive of your endeavour, I may be willing to send you copies of the originals, in much higher resolution.

And thank you very much for asking. I have found a number of my photos scattered around the net that were used without permission. It is nice to find someone decent for a change.

Just curious, which photo is of interest, and why?
