I have only ever seen one cigarette vending machine in Korea. In Japan there are more cigarette vending machines than pieces of litter on the street. It's paradise!

EvilGentleman: 8th Aug 2006 - 00:23 GMT

Our cigarette vending machines in Montreal were outlawed on May 31.

joey: this vending machine looks like a classic!

aer suzuki: 8th Aug 2006 - 10:43 GMT

i saw my first cigarette vending machine in a garishly under-lit, loudly patterned casino hallway in either reno or las vegas and it looked similar to this one. i was fascinated, and thought it was much more interesting than a slot machine...

great shot.

EvilGentleman: 8th Aug 2006 - 13:58 GMT

I wonder if Jeff has any shots of Japan's famous sidewalk beer vending machines.

chiamattt, do they have them in Korea as well?

joey, it looks like you are sporting a moustache, but I cannot tell if there is a beard as well. If it is just a moustache, I seem to be reminded of Jim Carrey in "Me, Myself and Irene". If there is a beard as well, I am reminded of Carl Wilson of the Beach Boys, circa 1976.

what part of town? (just curious) Those things survive all over the forest city i suppose.

colavitos ghost: 8th Aug 2006 - 20:54 GMT

Cleveland is full of old beauties like that one. Thanks for the post!

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 8th Aug 2006 - 21:06 GMT

Nice to see you Joey! and a nice shot. I almost want a pack of Lucky Strikes.

joey: 9th Aug 2006 - 01:53 GMT

evilg - i'm a beach boy. daddy took the t-bird, and my goatee is hidden by the camera.
jon - this is at maxi's on mayfield rd. little italy. more cleveland photos to come.
mr. ghost - is that rocky colavito you refernece in your name? he was my hero.
catherine - the luckys strikes were sold out

EvilGentleman: 9th Aug 2006 - 03:03 GMT

I see the Marlboro boxes were sold out as well. Only soft packs left. I wonder why the Marlboro box smokes are 82.5mm long, and the soft pack ones are the standard king size of 85mm? And regular Canadian smokes are 70mm.

colavitos ghost: 9th Aug 2006 - 16:41 GMT

joey-you guessed it! my name is really a reference to the curse that rocky left when the tribe traded him away.

joey: 18th Aug 2006 - 03:03 GMT

i was too young to realize rocky was a controversy. at one point i was in the buddy bell fan club. when buddy played 3rd base for the tribe.
