Google's satellite imagery is approx. 3 years old. The freeway, until recently, went OVER Montrose. The entire freeway was trenched 20ft below grade, and now Montrose runs over it instead.

Forgotten Memorial
Immediately following WW1, trees were planted along Eastern Parkway to memorialize the locals who died in in the war.
Bronze plaques were placed at the base of each tree, with the particular name of a fallen fighter...
But then the trees died...
