Escape from Citynoise

- jeeff - Monday, July 24th, 2006 : goo

here are some photos from my recent escape from citynoise, a camping trip to . algonquin is the largest provincial park in ontario, and the jewel of muskoka, the so-called "cottage country" north of toronto.

we camped on tom thomson lake, a 3-4 hour canoe trip into the park (just barely into the backcountry). was a great canadian painter from the early 20th century who died mysteriously on a canoeing trip in the park in 1917. like the group of seven painters, he found inspiration in the rugged canadian shield landscapes that stretch across the north of ontario, like those in algonquin (see the wiki link for an example of his work). his body was found in canoe lake.

great photos dude. Have any of Hool falling out of the canoe?

benji: 26th Jul 2006 - 09:19 GMT

the colour and detail of your shots is crazy, nice

jeeff: 26th Jul 2006 - 14:03 GMT

neither one of us fell out even once, which considering the circumstances of some of our canoe trips is quite a record.
