these two phtotos were taken roughly 500 feet apart.

here's mount diablo - out east in the dry, hot valley

meet mount tamalpais - out west across the san francisco bay, bounded by the pacific ocean and an incoming, on rush of fog. all of this from a little hiking trail in the east bay hills above berkeley. tilden park.

yes. both of these mountins are surrounded by urbanity. you just can't see any of it. tricky, huh?

I can almost feel the temperature change - are these photos taken during the same time of day ? I like them alot - but Mt Tamalpais is my favorite.
