Felix Mexican Restaurant

Felix Mexican Restaurant is a Houston institution that has been around for over 50 years. Some say the owner of Felix, brought Tex-Mex to Houston! This past year when they threatened to close their doors, patrons came to their aid and ate heartily, allowing the restaurant to keep its doors open a little longer. As of July 2006, they are still in business. Although it seems like not enough business to fix the green neon in the "Felix" part of their sign!!

ahh, i like these sorts of entries... pointing out odds and ends we'd never know about otherwise...

Nairi: 14th Jul 2006 - 16:05 GMT

we have Mesa Fresh around my way, and I happen to work there. I'm guessing it's the same as Felix, all tex-mex.

AD: 6th Jun 2007 - 16:17 GMT

I ate there once with a friend from out-of-town, man the food was horrible. I love real Tex-Mex but truly this place was worse than Taco Bell... My friend (who is white) thought the same and we vowed never to eat there again.

I CAN NOT stress enough how much that you should avoid this creepy crawly many legged creature motel. DO NOT GO. It has horrible and has bugs. Not to mention the horrible service from the management staff. When my card did not process due to a bad magnetic strip, I could not have been treated worse. The thing that is most frustrating is that we asked them to type in the number and a horrible attendant named DEBORAH said that she already had. FALSE!!!! Then she started an altercation with us, UNBELIEVABLE! I have never ever had such worse food, not mention such worse service. I have never wanted to get into a fight with service people, and personally believe that service folks (having been one and still am) should find a way to settle their own personal feelings for the better of the company. DO NOT GO HERE>DO NOT GO. It is so bad and there were flying insects EVERYWHERE. Disgusting, I want to throw up my dinner now.
