It appears that a competition has oficially begun between Montreal and Houston haha. The stakes will be much higher once I've moved!

EvilGentleman: 10th Jul 2006 - 06:12 GMT

Chris, I agree it is cool to see us having an effect on the charts here, but after the initial excitement wore off, I realized it is better to just post because something is too good to not post, and whatever the charts do, they do. I no longer worry about the numbers as much as I used to. If we start competing with others, we will eventually wind up posting articles that are not really up to par, and that will detract from the quality of the whole site.

Keep in mind, there were only 13 articles from Montreal when I posted my first article,on February 10th of this year. That means there have been 111 Montreal articles posted in the last 5 months, whereas there have been 42 Houstonian posts in the same period.

This is a lot of content in a very short time. I already had a number of people remark about my graf posts, that it was too much content that was focused on lower quality graf work, and that I should focus on quality, not quantity. I do not plan to repeat that error.

groovehouse, how the heck does this dilapidated heap manage to survive the hurricanes and supercells you guys get so often? This must be one tough pile of firewood. But then again, it is recent enough to have an attic fan on it.

Chris Erb: 10th Jul 2006 - 21:06 GMT

Oh, I definitely, quality over quanity is certainly the way to go. I was looking more at a bit of a friendly competition between Montreal and Houston than a full out battle royale of sorts haha.
