Part one of my walk through this . it's funny how being somewhere new can re-open your eyes to photographic opportunities. Coningsby; it's the new .

coningsby sure is slanted to the right. must be the curvature of the earth.

the castle inn, centre of excellence for signwriting. actually i saw some dismal signwriting right here in throbbing londinium, so it is not the preserve of country towns, but they do do rather well at it.

surely Jamie, Horncastle, can`t be as bad as Coningsby, the whole place looks, or maybe it should, be abandoned....

phillip booth: no photos of the kebab shop shame

you have just focused on the bad have u actualy seen anything u wanted to see or were u in a bad mood that day
1. the only flying lancaster bomber in europe
2. the 1 handed painted face church
3. the old railway bridge granted its a bit tired but its still there even the lines take you to thorpe camp
4. the white swan is now being converted into flats and the castle inn has been taken over by new management which we are proud of our little village

if you like to slag off this place think about how much WE can find in your home town !!!!!!!

Jamie: 7th Jan 2009 - 23:33 GMT

The age old "This is not a true representation of my town/village/city" debate continues. Maybe I missed the part where i duty bound to paint a fair and balanced picture of everywhere I choose take a photo of. But tell me, what have I photographed that is 'bad'?

I could take photos of the Lancaster and the church clock, and as I speak my TV's screensaver is showing me just such a photo from my library, but don't you think that's a bit cliche. Just search flickr for 'coningsby' www.flickr.com/search/?q=coningsby ... plane, clock, plane, plane, clock, clock, plane, plane, plane ... you get the picture

This website is about sharing your own perspective on your environment. If you'd like to paint a more conventional picture of Coningsby please feel free, we're open to all.

As for the White Swan (which lives at the end of my road), yes it finally is being renovated which is a good thing, and as for the other pub I fail to see how I 'slagged it off'.

So please, feel free to post your own perspective on Coningsby.. or visit my hometown () and 'slag it off' by taking pictures of buildings and putting them on the internet!!
