Its blurry because it was taken through a dirty PATH train window (and a layer of construction mesh), and though there are many pros and cons about this "Freedom Tower", I wanted to document it.
This is the first trench they've dug/blasted, to begin pouring the foundation for the underground vaults on the east side of the new building's footprint.
Its nice that they're finally doing something in "The Hole"...

I think it is good that they are getting this project on the road. It kind of says in your face to the terrorists.

I agree with Peter. Terrorists don't care about the rebuilding of this place. And, if it really was an "in your face" moment, then why has it taken so long to get anything started? Politics as usual, if you ask me.
