jack: looks like a rocky balboa robot.

Myke: Brilliant. It's good that you went back there.

Peter: awesome!

EvilGentleman: Woohoo! Lego blocks a cubic foot apiece!

(sorry, world cup fever just struck)

chiamattt: 29th Jun 2006 - 22:36 GMT

Peter, I used to have about 80 milkcrates in my Seoul apartment. Now I have Twenty-four keeping my mattress off the floor, twenty-six lock tied into a shelving unit, four just kicking around, and twelve in my laundry room as a shelving unit. I decided to give some away, so a few friends have come by and grabbed a bunch.

nice! ive always been a fan of using them under the mattress... especially those large bakery crates. word. nice pic. that shelf looks rad.

Selig: bakery crates make fine folio storage.

Myke: chiamattt, the milkcrate bed is great!

The milk crate men have struck back, there are now 4 of them placed on a factory or warehouse. Some friends of a friend made them....

Shezza: 24th Jul 2008 - 08:16 GMT

milkcrate men. fucking love them. they put a smile on my dial every morning on my way into the city.

anon (happy.its.unimelb.edu.au): 7th Sep 2008 - 22:33 GMT

there's a new one under a bridge before yarraville - talk about UPPING the ante!
so nice to be giggling on teh way to work on a freekin MONDAY!

Thank you milk crate fairy!!!

Jewels: 2nd Oct 2008 - 08:48 GMT

Was the one under the bridge before Yarraville the one with the milk crate erection?

Two have been destroyed near Newport. One has the crates hung on the fence and the other thrown beside the train line.

The one riding the crane is still there and the one on top of the tower at the old store.

Long live Crate Man!
I live close, so I managed to get some pics of the erect crate man under the westgate, some guys playing golf wondered why the hell I was taking photos! It was probably the golf club that took that one down.
There's a video on you tube featuring most of the crate men on the Williamstown/Werribee line, if you missed (or miss) their presence. :)

I've been fascinated with the Crate men appearing around Melbourne, and have put a site together with as many pics as I can get. Check it out at http://www.cratemen.com

Rhiannon - if you have a pic of the one from the gold course, I've love to include it on the site.

Cheers
