Hedges of the Stars

Back in May, I went to Hollywood and took one of those tours of the stars homes--an air-conditioned bus, a guide both cynical and adoring who was working out comedy routines for his own future television appearances. In short, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The following views came from one block--a block on which Jackie Chan also lived, and our leader was having fun fantasizing about the barbecues.

Bea Arthur's roses

Kathy Bates's flowers

P. Diddy's hydrangeas

Special added bonus: They paved paradise and put up a parking lot? This is apparently exactly the parking lot she had in mind. It was once some kind of bungalow complex called the Garden of Allah, where the likes of Bogart, Flynn, Tallulah Bankhead, and F. Scott Fitzgerald apparently hung out.

P. Diddy, Jackie Chan, Bea Arthur and Kathy Bates all live on the same block? Those would be some barbecues. I can see Jackie Chan and P. Diddy rapping while doing a "Kung-Fu Fighting" type of dance, and Bea Arthur and Kathy Bates face off against each other in a sledgehammer duel. It would be interesting, to say the least.

I liked these hedges a lot. It's nice to know that famous people have gardeners.

Those are the only people you see on this tour. The gardeners to the stars.

just getting around to this one--cannot believe you got a shot of THE paved-over paradise! good going!
