I've always loved that last photo of Dondi, with his cans lined up. Can you imagine what he must have felt like when it was taken? His heart must have been thumping, knowing, on the one hand, that he could be raided by the transit cops, at any moment, and on the other hand, that he was close to pulling off one of the all-time great whole cars.

i remember talking to an old school artist about dondi when i was young.He had nothing but good things to say about him. that image burnt in my memory for years. i just had to paint something for the guy. DONDI YOU ROCK.

I got a question were was DONDI from?Im curious cause there was a White Dude from Paterson,NJ that was calling himself DONDI as well and he was really good when it came to art with a spray can and he was in some crew called "UA" United Artist with some other guy named Mitch a.k.a TUE..Let me know if someone has the real scoop on DONDI.I grew up learning hot draw from these guys.

Dondi came from Manhattan NY.He sprayed a lot with an artist called LEE.

Dondi was a legend and he lives on it writers works as he inspired a generation.
Dondi died in 1998 with complications of AIDS.
