Montreal Noise: Saint-Laurent 6

The last of my current set of images from my walk around Metro last month.

image 11495
I love this eagle located above an auto shop on de Maisonneuve across from the Saint-Laurent Metro entrance. The Canadian flag seems somewhat faded, though.

image 11496
This piece is on the same wall above the auto shop. Note the Quebec flag as well.

image 11497
Yet another piece above the auto shop, with the police patrolling in the foreground.

image 11498
Located on the building diagonally across the corner from the auto shop.

image 11499
Partial grafs on an old building with newer windows.

image 11500
The lower pieces seem so out of place now, since the building the artists stood on is no longer there.

image 11501
A view of the rooftop graf in the area. I believe hool did a very similar shot a ways back.

image 11494
The entrance to the Saint-Laurent Metro. Normally Nixon does better work than this, which makes me wonder whether this is really his work, or if he had to hurry to avoid cops.
Hey, I got a pigeon in a majestic flying pose. Cool...

I saw a few Nixons while in Montreal. i remember them being pretty good.

I also saw a lot of Sake. I will include on when i do my Montreal Graffiti post. For some reason, when I saw "sake" written on the top of a building it really stood out to me. I knew I had seen the name before but couldn't (and still can't) think of where. I saw the tag one more time during my trip on a mailbox.

If I didn't speak french, i would find a lot more humour in the sign in # 1 and 2 that says "service de pneus"

EvilGentleman: 28th Apr 2006 - 10:35 GMT

Sake seems to be very prolific. There is a lot his stuff in my series. And HYH seems to be a roller specialist.

EvilGentleman: 28th Apr 2006 - 19:19 GMT

This is my favourite SAKE piece so far:

I would argue that NOISE is the JA of Montreal. That guy is everywhere! There might be a lot of Sake that I'm missing though since my only experiences with the city thus far are Ville Saint Laurent, NDG, Downtown, The Plateau and around the Olympic Stadium.

Sirhcbre: 3rd Sep 2006 - 06:53 GMT

I was at the Saint-Laurent metro the other day. The Nixon/Scan tags have been removed.
