Montreal Noise: Saint-Laurent 2

More pictures from the : series. These are the rest of my shots in this series that are on the south side of , near Saint-Laurent Boulevard.

image 11420
This building was already posted by kronia here. This is the other side of it. Amazing how McDonald's can be an eyesore in any location...

image 11430
The building is actually an ice cream parlour at the ground floor. Years ago, every time I passed by here on a summer night, there were always at least 20 or 30 bikers parked in front of here. I wonder if it is still the same on summer nights now.

image 11422
This is pretty much the angle that kronia used. The place still looks pretty much the same, but with a few more tags on it now. I personally think tagging murals should be off limits.

image 11423
This old storefront was across from the pro pieces in Saint-Laurent 1 It seems to have drawn a lot of attention from the taggers, but the quality of the work is a stark contrast from what is across the street.

image 11424
These pieces were on the inside of the shell of the old porn theater best seen here
image 11425

image 11426
This piece inside the theater shell is actually located on the wall of Club Soda, a small concert venue. I guess that would make it a commercial tag?

image 11427
I almost missed this one hiding along the rooftops.

image 11428
This is the view from in front of Club Soda.

image 11429
A miscellaneous mural piece.

I want to know how they manage to get so high haha.. Or were they permission murals or something..? I never understood the whole tagging/mural things I see around..

Well Tom, something as big and easily visible as this would require either ladders or most likely . I would definitely say the is a .

The building is a hangout for bikers during the late nights during the warmer months, and there is a big open parking lot surrounding it on three sides, so the police would be constantly watching the place. No way it could have been done on the sly.

Oh, and the I mentioned may or may not have been Hells Angels. It is also possible they may have been . I honestly have no clue, since I never stopped to stare at their patches. The bikers still hang out there in the summer, but they usually don't wear patches anymore, in order to lessen .
