near-ish. halfway through viccy park there is a joining canal called the heartford union canal that creates a T junction with grand union canal which, for some reason seems also to be known as regent's canal round here.
so anyway, to answer your question, jamie, yes, quite near, inasmuch as we had left the park, were on hertford union canal just before it meets regents, and sixy trolls is, or rather was, on regents.
