A Houston institution for 30 years, independant music retailer Cactus, has closed its doors forever citing big box retailers and downloading as their downfall! I think it was their crappy customer service that led to their demise. So long and thanks for all the music (and videos)! Of course, it's hard to ignore the irony of someone working a lowly retail job having a "I'm better and smarter than everyone" attitude because it's hardly the case. I do need a new place to rent foreign/indie/obscure DVDs, though... groovehouse: 8th Apr 2006 - 19:40 GMTVideo/DVD's are what I will miss about Cactus the most, but Netflix works just fine for me now.
