Rich: I'll bet this is at Bedford Ave.

Peter: 20th Nov 2008 - 01:22 GMT

indeed. catty-corner from that giant gas station thats been there forever.

the part you didnt hear about this post is that about 1 minute after snapping this shot, i turned left there onto bedford; i found myself walking between a wall and a parked semi-truck/trailer, behind which i got jumped by a thug who was demanding my camera and pressing a screwdriver against the back of my neck.

i subdued him and snapped his photo as he tried to hobble away, and sure enough, the cops later used the photo to id him after he was apprehended. he was sent up for thsoe charges, adn two existing warrants he had for assault. go figure.

anyway, long story short, the cops told me to keep the story and photo to myself until after the case went to court, which i did... and then sort of forgot about until now. what i should really do is dig up the photo of the poor broken-kneed hustler trying to get away along with the text account of the event that i posted on another more-anonymous blog right after it happened.

hmm. high adventure on !

Hey Pete,
Sorry for the late response, I just saw this. Glad you were able to not only defend yourself but get the guy's picture to boot. He got what he deserved. If you don't mind, would you please post his pic along with this story, I think it'll be an interesting story and you'll have a lot of comments.
