Jack~ I assure you we don't drive our dog sleds to and from work, snow and cold weather is simply not a canadian thing, though it cold at times. Infact it snows more in US snowbelt than it does in this city. We had a great sunny day yesterday in Toronto.. but like you we have snow at the moment. It really is beautiful though. Enjoy the surprise and wait til tomorrow! Spring is here, just a bit disguised. Elicar: 5th Apr 2006 - 17:25 GMTSend it over Jack! We really did not have much of a snow in Toronto this winter. The last time I remember having really too much snow was when Mayor Mel Lastman called in the army (400 of them) in 1999. cbc.ca/cgi-bin/templates/view.cgi?/news/1999/01/14/snow990114 Of course, there maybe some snow storms I have forgotten in between, but I do happen to like snow. And Tamara...Yes, Canada does get a lot of snow. In as much as we Torontonians would like to think that Toronto IS Canada, it just AIN'T. ;) EvilGentleman: 5th Apr 2006 - 18:14 GMTIronically, the Great Lakes - Saint Lawrence Valley corridor in Canada, where 60% of Canada's population lives, including the cities of Windsor, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City, gets most of its cold wintry weather from the American midwest. The air masses in question would actually move from Alaska to the Canadian Prairies to the American Midwest, and then on to Toronto, Montreal, New York, Boston, etc. So remember, the next time you see Bryant Gumbel referring to a cold front coming down from Canada, it was really born in the USA. By the way, jack, you really seem to be getting the hang of posting now. Keep up the good work. GGP: 5th Apr 2006 - 20:30 GMTwe were on the same snowy wavelength today, jack. love that pink tree. is it a cherry? so delicate, hesitant. Tamara: 5th Apr 2006 - 22:53 GMTIt is true that Canada get snow, as do many countries. But I'd like to think that Canada is way more than cold weather and snow storms. Most Canadian would be unable to handle the weather we have up north, which is why the southern part of the country is the part that is most populated. Elicar, If Toronto is not Canada, then what are we? where are we? Elicar: 6th Apr 2006 - 00:34 GMTI guess we are not in the same wavelength Tamara. Note that both letters in the "IS" are in caps. I did not say that Toronto IS IN Canada. I shall say no mre..... Micah: 6th Apr 2006 - 15:22 GMTAll that snow has arrived in Moncton (most definitely in Canada), and it picked up a lot of water on the way. It's a good thing I brought a change of pants today cos I was soaked by the passing cars before I was even half-way to campus. Strange, it's supposed to be plus 10 again tomorrow.
