As today was nice, warm and sunny, I decided to hop on the Vespa, head down towards Coney Island and snap some photos of Jack's old neighborhood... Instead, I got caught in one of those freak springtime rainstorms that NYC is known for, and as the scooter is 43 years old, hates the rain and loves fishtailing on wet pavement (a terrible combination on Ocean Parkway!) I quickly headed back home... But not, at least, before snapping these two cursory cameraphone shots of Avenue U... I'll get back there soon, Jack, I promise. Today just wasn't the day... (btw, this was near where I shot photos for this entry last year...)
