As today was nice, warm and sunny, I decided to hop on the Vespa, head down towards and snap some photos of 's old neighborhood...

Instead, I got caught in one of those freak springtime rainstorms that is known for, and as the is 43 years old, hates the rain and loves fishtailing on wet pavement (a terrible combination on !) I quickly headed back home...

But not, at least, before snapping these two cursory shots of ...

I'll get back there soon, , I promise. Today just wasn't the day...

(btw, this was near where I shot photos for this entry last year...)

pete, if i had known you would be there i would have met up and we could have snapped pics of you and i shooting each other. thx for the pic's. i used to hang there on the avenue with some pretty rough guys. most of them are dead, natural or otherwise. i was considered a civilian. believe it or not those guys on the avenue had respect for police officers. but business was business and they stretched the law a little too much. we had a little social club on east 7th street and we played cards late at night called boss and underboss. if you won you were boss.

Jamie: and if you lost?

jack: we would take you out back and shoot you.
