This has been on the wall of this Church Street bar for at least seven years. Or so I've been told...

torontofreelance: Mmmm. Brokeback beer.

jack: 23rd Mar 2006 - 13:05 GMT

think about it, if we were all gay there would be no one here in 100 years.

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 23rd Mar 2006 - 14:57 GMT

Of course we'll still be here in 100 years (ignoring the probability that we'll extinct ourselves in other ways). There will still be men and women, even if they prefer their own sex for relationships, the desire to have familes will still be strong. Gay couples often want children. All the homosexual couples I know do. There will be a lot more artificial insemination, that's all.

Biff: 23rd Mar 2006 - 15:01 GMT

Actually that's not true, there are lots of Gay parents. Some out and some not.

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 23rd Mar 2006 - 16:05 GMT

I was going with Jack's notion that if all people were gay, the race would die out in 100 years. Obviously, today (and in reality) people chose to have children by many means and have many different relationships. As I said, all the homosexual couples I know want kids, either through adopting, AI or surrogacy.

jeeff: 23rd Mar 2006 - 18:50 GMT

i plan to have my children through artificial intelligence as well.

jack: 23rd Mar 2006 - 18:54 GMT

i had mine the old fashioned way, i let my wife do it.

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Ha! Jack, you got it in one.

Laura : wow. What an ad.

Rapunzel: 25th Mar 2006 - 17:21 GMT

LOVE this!!!!

Awesome! Will send this to some of my friends here in Oz. Where is this up???

Biff: 26th Mar 2006 - 06:52 GMT

Hi, Rapunzel,
Its on Church Street one block south of Carlton Street. It's THE BARN, which is closed now, alas due to an unhappy tragedy.

zagg: 2nd Dec 2007 - 05:02 GMT

Biff, was the painting up prior to Brokeback Mountain?
