This article has been viewed 2797 times in the last 3 years joey: 14th Mar 2006 - 03:42 GMTmarch 13th has been quite the day for zoo pictures. every bird you see these days - you just got to ask - does it have the h51n bird flu? Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 14th Mar 2006 - 03:46 GMTDo you mean that I shouldn't have picked him up and kissed him on the beak? Bugger.
jack: 14th Mar 2006 - 16:53 GMTi have always been fascinated with the stone walkways. they are in every park in the city system. the zoos have them and i remember walking on them as a boy. and in the movie,'the eddy duchin story' tyrone power threw some sunflower seeds onto those very footpath stones while he was making out with the great and beautiful actress, kim novak. Peter: 14th Mar 2006 - 16:55 GMTyeah, my school had those pavers on its sidewalks/pathways too... totally a nyc thing. theyre in every park, it seems! GGP: 14th Mar 2006 - 17:53 GMTsparrows have really been on my mind lately. they're in highly active breeding and nest-building mode. they're working on a nest above my office window as we speak! also, i've been listening to a lot of country music lately and there seem to be sparrows everywhere. dolly parton's "little sparrow." neko case's new CD has a song called "maybe sparrow." and rosanne cash's new CD has a song called "the world unseen" that begins with a sparrow reference. there's also simon and garfunkle's heartbreaking sparrow song, but that was long away. any, easy to forget sparrows and nice to see them celebrated a little. GGP: 14th Mar 2006 - 18:53 GMTlong ago, i meant, not long away--though i suppose it's the same thing. Comment on this article..[previous] :: [next] |
