yay shoes!

Hobart: 3rd Mar 2006 - 17:20 GMT

More , please! :-)

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 3rd Mar 2006 - 18:00 GMT

You know, I knew that there was another shoe post somewhere, I was just in a rush to upload them. Has anyone ever witnessed a shoe hanging? Maybe the baby pigeons do it.

Peter: 3rd Mar 2006 - 18:07 GMT

witnessed? every single pair of shoes ive ever worn out or ruined since living in (which has been quite a number) has ended up atop a streetlamp, powerline or some other such thing... you should try it sometime!

jack: 3rd Mar 2006 - 18:33 GMT

some of those sneakers are better than the ones i'm wearing now, perhaps i should get my ladder and visit your neighborhood. is there any size 11eee. plz send them 2 me.

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 3rd Mar 2006 - 20:08 GMT

I throw like a girl.
Jack, I'll keep an eye out for your size.

Myke: 3rd Mar 2006 - 20:32 GMT

i totally want to throw up my nike lo-dunks some place

Peter: 3rd Mar 2006 - 20:33 GMT

all you do is tie the laces together like in the photo... hold a shoe in each hand, and toss them straight up (assuming youre standing right under the objective, of course) with a granny-shot-esque fling.

its not hard :)

if youre licky, theyll wrap around the objective a few times, which will make sure they stick around for long enough for some passerby to snap photos of them for a website!

jack: 3rd Mar 2006 - 21:21 GMT

i tried to throw some sneakers (not mine of course) up once and as i threw them a cop walked over to me and they did not wrap around the wire, instead they fell right on him. he asked for identification and being a kid i told him my name was,'eugenio mare'. now if he ever heard the italian song 'i have but one love' he would have heard the words in italian and he would have screamed because when pronounced in italian it sounds like eugeniomaro. now kids dont do what i did, stay in school and dont do drugs.

I'll give you some of my shoes Jack, but too bad, they won't fit!

If you could squeeze in to a 7 1/2 and balance on stillettos just like your girfriend who got lost...and perhaps shave your legs too, and of course wear a mini skirt (one does not look good without the other), I'll send some on your way! ;)

jack: 3rd Mar 2006 - 23:17 GMT

elicar your a girl. i almost puked as you said all those things. the thought of me putting on womens clothes is frightening. its enough for me to watch my wife go through with what she has to do and balance herself in high heels. think about it, ginger had to dance and keep up with fred and she did it backwards with high heels.

Galaxy: 4th Mar 2006 - 01:13 GMT

I love this kind of random phenomenon!

One day when humans no longer exist, some kind of species will discover the shoes over telephone wires, they'll come to believe that humans threw shoes into the air as offerings to the Gods, especially the beloved Goddess of Victory--Nike.

Elicar: 4th Mar 2006 - 04:20 GMT

Correction Jack! I was a girl and has become a full grown woman and hopefully, a well mannered lady, with a little of that girl's mischief still in me! ;)

SuShI_hp: 4th Mar 2006 - 06:45 GMT

half dead crew writes on the bottom of old shoes and throws the shoes on electric wires i like creative stuff like that

Kato: 4th Mar 2006 - 21:13 GMT

If you can find 4 plimsolls that match, possibly size 2, not sure of my size being a Tibetan dog, I would be truely grateful. Mulah & Pops want stilletos.

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 6th Mar 2006 - 18:36 GMT

Kato, tell Mulah and Cocopops I'm sending them some Otto Tootsi Plohound shoes. Geddit? newyork.citysearch.com/profile/7108914/?cslink=cs_boc_ew_3_2

34th ave .. best place in the world

s: 25th Nov 2007 - 21:58 GMT

i remember living in Ny and seeing shoes hanging from power lines

Jethro: 19th Dec 2008 - 19:57 GMT

How come people do this?
I don't really understand. That's so pointless -_-. People who really need shoes could use those.
