do not leave the wire for the landlord to see. obviously, he is going into your apartment without your knowledge. i would start looking for a new apartment or better yet, buy the landlord some good wine and brown nose him a bit and he may take the box off. but i think you can go to the city for help. i dont know what to do with a jerk like that.
