The entrance to P.S. 9 during the golden hour. Look closely and you can see evidence of the buff to the left of the doors... Prospect Heights, Brooklyn This article has been viewed 3170 times in the last 3 years
jack: 23rd Feb 2006 - 23:39 GMTi believe #8 is on 167th street, #1 is a montessori in battery city. don't know the rest. the 80's and thru the 300's are located in brooklyn. ps 215 was on ave t in brooklyn and ps 95 was in gravesend bklyn. anyway it doesn't matter to me i went to a Catholic parochial school run by Dominican Nuns and they were great. loved everyone of them. someday i have to tell you about the 'great meatball caper'. its a fun story. perhaps i'll post it. Micah: 6th Apr 2006 - 19:28 GMTWhy don't your schools have names? I have always wondered why they do that, P.S.1, 2, 3, infinity. Is it for administration purposes since there must be so many kids therefore elementary schools? But how do you say proudly, 'I went to PS 137' instead of 'I went to Smythe Street School' or 'I went to McLeod'? Peter: 6th Apr 2006 - 19:42 GMTits really no different than saying "i used to live on 108th street". numbering does wonders for organization, i guess! Comment on this article..[previous] :: [next] |
