Just a few of the I saw when I lived in . This page complements the first page I did of , which was Peregrine Falcon Chicks. Other Arctic pictures I have posted include this, this, and this

A heading into town

image 8668

A herd of caribou grazing by the lake behind the town

image 8669

A , sort of seems like a chinchilla-mouse crossbreed

image 8670

An , known locally to the as a , which means ''. More info on them here >> fishbase.sinica.edu.tw/summary/SpeciesSummary.php?id=4123.

Personally, I think these ugly things look like they were supposed to go extinct 200 million years ago.

that fish looks like a sea robin, native to the americas. would'nt it be something to see caribou in manhattan.

Guy McLaren: Those carabou could be in Scotland

Hungery Ham: 20th Feb 2006 - 00:26 GMT

hungery ham: do you have any pics of caribou balls

EvilGentleman: 20th Feb 2006 - 08:30 GMT

No, but the next time I pass by the Chinese buffet place, I'll try to take a pic of some chicken balls, just for you.

I'd follow that lemming anywhere.

EvilGentleman: 21st Feb 2006 - 01:15 GMT

Um, Barry... I could not decipher what you meant to ask, sorry. Near as I understood your question, you want to know if they exist in NY state? Or are you telling me you caught some in NY? Either way, I doubt it is the same species. Arctic Sculpins are most commonly found in the cold salt waters of the Arctic and Hudson Bay basins. I have never heard of these particular fish being found in fresh water as adults, but my wife says she has seen freshly spawned kanayuks in lakes north of 60. Mind you, I am no expert, so I have no actual clue as to how far their range extends.

EvilGentleman: 21st Feb 2006 - 01:17 GMT

Cat, that kid holding the lemming apparently DID follow it everywhere. That is how he caught it.

Sabriel: Arctic fox rox

THSgirl: 7th Feb 2007 - 17:05 GMT

That lemming is so cute! I'm using it for my project in Enviromental Science class!!! thanks for heloing me find the most awsomeest animal ever!

EvilGentleman: 2nd Mar 2007 - 02:00 GMT

A pet of yours, I presume? Interesting colours on his coat, is it a Scandinavian breed?

CartLegger: is this your hometown?

EvilGentleman: 9th May 2007 - 23:19 GMT

Nope, my hometown is Kahnawake. I have a few posts from there, too.

spotted this scathing attack on our beloved leader on a telecoms box this morning on my walk to work. Snapped a blind flick with my cameraphone hence the rubbish quality. Here's the detail, i think these are stickers rather than paste-ups.
