these are really great photos. pray tell, what camera do you use monsieur hool?

hool: 25th Jul 2002 - 18:45 GMT

i use an olympus e-10. it's a digital SLR. totally worth the investment.

jamie: 25th Jul 2002 - 20:20 GMT

whoaaa! digital SLR, that sounds hella expensive but the results are nothing short of FUCKIN AMAZING. though i think i'll stick to my mini digicams for the time being (mainly due to lack of funds) and also cus i like the covert aspect of the whole thing.

peter: hool. you rock.

ian: 29th Jul 2002 - 11:14 GMT

wow.. incredible. Did he object to photographing him? I rarely take more than one photo of street people, even with telephoto lenses. I dont want to draw attention to myself.

hool: 30th Jul 2002 - 21:41 GMT

ian: i asked him and he said okay. i was right up on him , lens less than a foot away from his face. i'm used to photographing people in the streets now. i just ignore the attention drawn to me - i've come to realize that the attention is very temporary - as soon as i leave that space, those people will probably never see me again.

i also have covert technqiues for public photography when i need it.
