I'd like to see more Iowa. Looks pretty. Do you know why the windows on the ground floor are bricked up?
Isn't Captain Kirk from Iowa?

Hobart: 5th Jan 2006 - 20:03 GMT

The windows are bricked over because that's where their equipment and cold-storage is, I would imagine. The walls have been retro-fitted with insulation and are too thick and utilitarian in their current role to hold windows.

Captain Kirk's Wikipedia entry indicates that he is, in fact, from , perhaps a town caled .

William Shatner's hometown, however, appears to be , , , a world away from , I'd assume, though I've never been to , or really spend much time outside of itself, now that I look back at my life.

Hobart: love the photo. it's always good to see long-time lurkers posting stuff, and it's always good to see new places representing on citynoise. Man i'd sure love to see more of Captain Kirk's hometown, that's for sure.

Joey: I'm working on it ;-)

oneon: More Iowa please!
