Apparently, someone has abandoned a on a side-street in front of a in ... The limbs of the bushes are actually growing through the handlebars, there's a rusty propane tank sitting on the floorboard and the tires are rotted out.

I'm toying with the idea of "rescuing" it... Hmm...

Forthe s out there, it appears to be an '82 P125, and has a 1982 license plate to boot.

why would anyone abandon a vespa like this? nice photos petey man. it looks almost as though he is sulking.

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 27th Dec 2005 - 14:13 GMT

Grab it! Have it away on its toes! Make off with it. Bring it on home.

jack: 29th Dec 2005 - 19:26 GMT

the engine is seized and the cost would be more than the cost for a previously owned vespa, but then again it is older and pretty.

Peter: 30th Dec 2005 - 07:26 GMT

not true, jack. i could get it restored for under $1000, and in good shape, it might sell for closer to $3000. a simple engine overhaul (i could do the rest myself) would only be a couple of hundred bucks. old vespas are classics, man.

jack: 30th Dec 2005 - 18:30 GMT

can i have it. tell me where it is. i want it bad. i need it bad.. got to have it. my wife will make me drive her around on it. no forget it. too cold outside. i could move to ca. then it would be good. what am i saying i cant move, aw shucks, forgetaboutit.

i'd love that rear rack/backrest for my vespa. it's huge!

jay: is this ting still dare?

ksedge: 9th Aug 2006 - 22:31 GMT

did anyone rescue it? please say yes...it's painful to see such a great piece of machinery left abandoned...
