I decided to try something new. Rode around on my bike, shooting from my chest, while moving.

It's one way of circumventing the "confrontation" problem. No reason to worry about being yelled at if they can't catch you :)

These are in chronological order, so, I was obviously still working on technique on the 1st picture :)

These turned out really well! So you weren't looking through the veiwfinder or looking at the display at all? Just point and click and see what you get at the end? I actually like the first one best. Really cool.

jeeff: 26th Dec 2005 - 23:10 GMT

i like the first one as well as the others. the handlebar adds a nice sense of depth, really frames the people in the background. we've got a good little group of / photos going.

Catherine, these were all shot totally blind. I use an SLR, so I couldn't look at a display or through the viewfinder. I sortof pointed the camera in the general direction with the focus preset at the hyperfocal distance, and a smallish aperture to give a wide depth of field.

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Very, very cool.

jack: very interesting.

thats the weird part, the part where the viewfinder dosent get used for a few months or year what not

for awhie th e results seemed crazy then they got better. lerned how to aim from hip chest lowerthigh behindtheback

then one day decided to use the ole finder again

Interestingly enough, I am not a resident of Houston. I was just wondering if you anyone has noticed that many people are being shot in the chest with guns at this time in Houston's History? So sad, why are so many people being shot in the chest multiple times there? This is an epidemic dejavu. I am saden at these pictures after trying to see if Houston police have any information on someone that I knew there. He was shot in the chest nine times. As I look, this site came up. Thought it would be easy to find out if the police had any additional information in his case. He was buried Friday, a new father. His name was John Smith, he was known as Baby John. Someone should notice all the people being shot in the chest in Houston at this time, if you are not aware. It's so terribly sad.

Cleveland from the Golden Hour on

It seems like every time I remember to bring my (or my boyfriend's) camera when I go into the city, I end up in the same few square miles. This is obviously unfortunate, because I'd like to show Citynoise some...
