It's not enough that BevEx (a fast beverage delivery service) has stolen FedEx's logo, now it's going for all it's parking spots, too.
Sorry for the bad cameraphone pic.

Myke: Well spotted! That's pretty funny.

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 16th Dec 2005 - 18:28 GMT

Kudos goes to my friend Jackie, she's the one with the eagle eye. I walked right past it. Then we both scambled for cameras.

Peter: 16th Dec 2005 - 18:29 GMT

hahaha! excellent catch, cat! thats funny. ive never seen "BevEx" before...

ian: 18th Dec 2005 - 01:03 GMT

To be pedantic, that's Trademark infringement, not copyright infringement :)

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 19th Dec 2005 - 14:25 GMT

Yah boooo! Sucks to you! No, not really. Ian, you are completely correct. FedEX is a registered trade mark.

mobie: 19th Dec 2005 - 15:28 GMT

trademark schmademark! if i wanna call my garden outbuldings delivery company ShedEx i frickin will. ok lady?!

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 19th Dec 2005 - 15:53 GMT

Right-o, go ahead. If you like wearing a law suit.
(ha!)

mobie: law suit. birthday suit. suits me fine.

liv: 11th Jan 2006 - 17:26 GMT

there is an arrow in the negative space between E and X in "fedex"

Peter: 11th Jan 2006 - 17:28 GMT

heh. we covered that in this entry... ;)

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 11th Jan 2006 - 21:29 GMT

I only fairly recently (3 years ago) discovered the arrow in the negative space. Which is very sad, as I have two dregrees in graphic design and have worked in advertising for 13 years.

joey: 30th Sep 2006 - 19:30 GMT

what about the spoon in the negative space of the 'e'

zagg: Random fact: I used to be a FedEx employee.

Peter: 2nd Oct 2006 - 14:55 GMT

zagg: i bet you got alot of cool schwag, eh?

Cameo: 2nd Oct 2006 - 16:10 GMT

They didn't infringe though... the EX from fedEX features an arow inside the "EX" the Bevex modified their graphic enough to not infringe on the trademar "EX" Look closely at the EX... you will see a hidden arrow!

zagg: 4th Oct 2006 - 03:08 GMT

None what so ever, ALTHOUGH! I did get an awfully nice meeting with my boss letting me know my temp. position was ending 3 months early: 3 days after christmas!

Also worked with racists homophobes each day, driving me nut-balls.

But I'm not bitter, no...

:D

"To be pedantic, that's Trademark infringement, not copyright infringement :)"

On top of that to further it mnore, if you talk about theft and copyright infringement in the same sentence, you fail. One or the other, they aren't the same... at least the way I was brought up, it was not right but last time I checked calling it something it wasn't made it even more confusing and unclear.

catherine penfold-waxman: 4th Feb 2007 - 17:18 GMT

Dude, now we are all totally unconfused.

sirhcbre: Whoa, I never noticed the arrow!
