jack: 9th Dec 2005 - 01:24 GMTis that women praying at the wall? the old man and women have been walking like that for 50 years, young love in old bodies. Peter: 9th Dec 2005 - 04:27 GMTi love that third photo. as a guy who has birds for pets, i always feel the plight of the pigeons more than your average new yorker, ha. on a more serious note... after about 3+ years of devouring your photos, hool, ive started to read a definite dialogue in many of them. thats not to say that its not completely me projecting my own personal situation/life/aesthetics/presumptions onto whatever newest scenes your eye and viewfinder derives from all the visual information constantly swimming around you, but i wanted to step out beyond the average "these fotos are cool!" comment and tell you how much ive enjoyed interpreting your photos, as it were, and finding prose in them thats always so applicable to my own personal life. its like some crazy ongoing story, without words. im always waiting for the next chapter to tell me what happens next in the story. after all, isnt that a major point of "art"? word. anyway, thanks as always. joey: 9th Dec 2005 - 04:42 GMTjack. you always have some of the most insightful comments to add. do you post as well? zoe the great (lives with jafar): 9th Dec 2005 - 05:00 GMTthat's the corner of my street- Lisgar and Argyle. Except now i live in Vancouver. HA hool: 9th Dec 2005 - 20:10 GMTthanks peter, i appreciate your appreciation. a dialogue is comprised of two parts, so of course one part of your dialogue will be what you say about yourself. it's the same with my dialogue with the images i make - when i make a photograph, it's something i'm saying about myself, shaped by the content of the image. tell me what you're seeing in the images. i'd love to hear it. i like showing my photos at citynoise, it's a unique place where i know that the work i post will be received in the same spirit in which it is given. hool: 9th Dec 2005 - 20:11 GMTjack: the woman is praying to Lord Tobacco. zoe: jeeff and i live around the corner. hool: 9th Dec 2005 - 20:20 GMTre: pigeon photo. here's a detail view of what the man is pulling out of the envelope. perhaps canadian pigeons are a bit more enterprising.
Peter: 12th Dec 2005 - 20:20 GMTwow, that adds a while new twist to the image-narrative. nice catch, hool.
