Taken between 9-10am, overlooking from my bedroom window. Digital compact, no filters. I wish I'd shot on film as well, but I was half asleep.

My retina hurt. That last one is intense. Brilliant, in every sense of the word.

Peter: 8th Dec 2005 - 15:18 GMT

wow... for real. wow. that last one is great. , , , . a perfect urban moment.

Myke: 8th Dec 2005 - 15:30 GMT

Thank you very much both of you. There's always something new being built in Manchester, it's going through a sort of city centre living craze at the moment.

Peter: 8th Dec 2005 - 16:21 GMT

thats awesome. i always pictured it to be a rather drab, industrial city... not that ive ever been there or seen much of it... but whatever my presuppositions were, youve very much set that straight with some of your recent photos...

Mad Jane: 8th Dec 2005 - 16:26 GMT

I love these, especially the third. Thanks for sharing.

elaine: blimey! these are fantastic

elaine: 8th Dec 2005 - 17:25 GMT

by the way it most certainly was drab. very drab

jeeff: good morning.

GGP: 8th Dec 2005 - 20:39 GMT

not bad for half-asleep!! :)
that last one is a knock-out.

Myke: 8th Dec 2005 - 20:45 GMT

Thanks again folks. Setting up that last one really hurt my eyes. I was stitting around quite a while, waiting for the thickest of the fog to clear. I was fortunate that I didn't need to be in university that morning.

jack: 9th Dec 2005 - 01:04 GMT

i love manchester in june, how about , wait a second, i cant see anything. this is photography of nothing but fog. yet it compels me to look further into the picture. i see something yet i cant describe it so i'll sing, i love new york in ............

sarah: 28th Mar 2006 - 19:48 GMT

these are lovely, where did you take the photos from?

spygirl_t: 28th Mar 2006 - 20:30 GMT

Beautiful shots.. Agreed very good for being half asleep. The last couple shots are magical. Thank you, Myke for sharing them.

Myke: 28th Mar 2006 - 23:18 GMT

Wow, back from the archives. They were taken from the 14th floor of our university halls of residence on the outskirts of Salford, close to Manchester. Thank you Sarah and Spygirl for your comments.

procyon: 29th Jan 2007 - 05:38 GMT

wow. i didn't see this when it first came up; i'm really glad it came back again... those third and fourth shots are mythical.
