Yeah! You rock, BZZZP! Is this right under the Ditmars station? They look like naked bulbs and a bit of tinsel. We should go and throw some sneakers up there.
(great shot, by the way.)

You're absolutely right, Jamie. Trainers for the Brits, Sneakers for the Americans. Like Muppet for the Brits, Toy for the Americans.

that is a really cool photo. it looks like the set for a musical entitled "hobo's christmas"

BZZZP: 7th Dec 2005 - 03:26 GMT

it IS hobo xmas under there. they've scattered a bit since twin donut burned down, but they're still there, hangin around the bodegas and benches. why, i dunno, but i think they sleep in a couple of abandoned houses i've seen down in astoria village, and come hang out there for the day... sneakers, check. i might have some, will document.

BZZZP: 7th Dec 2005 - 03:34 GMT

it's also a mixture of bare bulbs and bulbs-in-flimsy-cups... with tinsel

whats with, xmas. i thought it was Christmas. whats with tree of light, life, holiday, i thought it was Christmas tree. whats with holidays i thought it was Christmas holidays. why is everyone so afraid to put the emphasis on Christ. it is His birthday that we celebrate! but you know, non-christian people will not let us celebrate the birth of Jesus. it offends them. i like the jewish holidays and kwanza, so why cant people like the celebration of Jesus' birthday. is it because santa clause has taken a more prominent place. sorry i had to say all this. i get fed up with the politics. this is a great site and i enjoy the pictures. i apoligize for using it as a soap box.

Bloor Street: a hydrant right next to a hydrant with a hose between them. How bizarre! What for?
